Remember, homeowners are liable for any injuries to a workman and/or property damage, which may occur on their property during repair work by an individual or company regardless of whether they have a homeowners' insurance policy.

The following checklist will help you protect yourself as the homeowner and also feel confident about the company you select to do your work. We know the more you check the more you will want Robertson Roofing & Siding, Inc. to do your roofing, siding or repairs.

- The company must have Workman's Compensation and Public Liability Insurance in order to be completely covered by insurance.

- Check with the Better Business Bureau to verify reputation.

- Check credit references to insure against future labor or material liens.

- Any company, which needs payment prior to job completion, should not even be considered.

- Most roofing companies operate out of their residential address. They have nothing invested. Where will they be in 1 year if you have a problem?
